How we use your information

Legal bases

Where the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service); your consent (where we ask for it); and compliance with legal obligations.

How we protect your information

Security is central to AssetOrganize. Supported documents are encrypted on your own device before they are uploaded. Files are held in private storage and reached only through short-lived, authorized links. Access to your information is role-based — you decide who can see what — and your account can be protected with two-factor authentication. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using appropriate technical and organizational measures.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with applicable data protection law.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete the associated personal data, except where we are required to retain limited information by law or for a short period in secure backups. See Account & Data Deletion for details.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at morten@assetorganize.com. If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in Norway this is the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

Children

AssetOrganize is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
